Visit with Brian, Stacey and Braden

My brother and sister-in-law and their son, Braden, were in town for the weekend. It was really nice spending time with them and catching up. We hadn't seen them since March! Braden is now 2 1/2 and SO cute and funny. Blake had a great time playing and learning from his "big" cousin. Emerson was sick the whole weekend with a sore throat. She didn't play at all, was fussy and wanted to be held most of the time. This kept us from doing a lot, but it we still had a nice time just hanging out. It was great having a pediatrician right here to give me advice! Thank you, Stacey, for helping out with little Miss Emerson and coming to Urgent Care with us. We love you all and hope you come back again soon. We all promise to be healthy next time:)

11 months old!

Blakey Blue Eyes

Still puts EVERYTHING into his mouth:)

They are best buds and love to play together

Blake now joins Sonora when they hear the garage door opening when Daddy is coming home.
"YAY! Daddy's home!"

Blake's cool new car from Aunt Kristyn.

Emmie-Belle loves to climb

...and laugh! Check out her 2 teeth!

Blake and Emerson are growing and learning so much each day. Blake can point to my nose, ears and sometimes lips. Emerson can tell you what sounds dogs and cows make. They are both trying to stand. Blake has stood for 20 seconds and has even tried to take a step. Emerson has stood for 10 seconds. She gets so excited when she is standing, tries to dance, then falls and laughs....super cute! They are adventurous eaters and eating more and more finger foods including all vegetables, chicken, pancakes, toast, beans, potatoes, their new favorite mac and cheese, and all soft fruits. I gave them pieces of a cheeseburger once and I've never seen Blake smile so big during a meal. I'm thinking he might be a meat and potatoes guy like his daddy. They have even had pieces of pickles and olives. I am very thankful that they love to drink water. They get a splash of juice with their water with breakfast. I'm in the process of stopping breast milk/feeding and they will be on whole milk in 1 month. I have to pinch myself when I think about how they will be 1 year old in a few short weeks. It is truly unbelievable how fast time goes. But, turning 1 means planning a party, and I've been having fun with that!

Our fun new bears!

Blake and Emerson's Great Aunt Caryl and Great Uncle Dave gave them these big, soft teddy bears as early birthday presents. Emerson kept giving hers hugs and kisses. She still gives them hugs and kisses when she plays with them. Blake loves to climb back and forth over his. Thanks for the great gifts Aunt Caryl and Uncle Dave!

Babytime at the library

Blake and Emerson with their friend, Lexy.

Blake loves the bubble machine

Little Lexy

I started taking the babies to story/songtime at the library since they were 3 months old. It is a great program where they read stories, sing songs and play. At that time they just watched all the other kids around them. I was so excited when they started holding the rattles. Eventually Blake started to love the bubble machine. My parents have been taking them every Thursday morning since I started back at work. The past few weeks they have started crawling into the middle of the circle laughing and playing with the other kids. I took the day off work today so I was able to take them to babytime. It's so much fun to watch them grow and learn!
