I'm SO glad August is over and am loving the start of September. While I love the excitement of a new school year, it is crazy busy and takes time to develop a new routine. This August was even more challenging because, on top of starting the school year, Blake and Emerson started school for the first time, we have a new Friday babysitter (whom we are loving!), and Jeremy started a new job which requires a great deal of travel. All fun and exciting, but I sure was happy to change our calendar from August to September! Finally life is starting to settle down a bit and we felt caught up enough to go away for the weekend. We headed up to Payson late Friday night, made the most of the day Saturday, and came home today. Quick trip, but wonderful to spend time with family in the cooler mountain air.
We planned on taking the kids on hike to see a special waterfall, but the trail was closed. So, we settled on a less familiar trail, and found this fun little "playground."
Em spent a lot of time picking flowers. We went on a "flower hunt" walk. We didn't only find flowers...we found angels, fairies, good witches, bad witches, dragons, caves, and princesses. I just LOVE her imagination- so fun!!!!
Blake spent most of his time in the creek. It was running full force this weekend. He would have played in it all day if we let him:)
And- of course- we can't have a cabin trip without s'mores:) Yum!
