We love you Daisy!!!!!!!!!!

Memorial weekend was one of the most wonderful and heartbreaking weekends of our lives. Let's start with the wonderful part. We took my parents and the babies to our cabin in Payson for the first time. Jeremy has been going to the cabin since he was born, so it was special to him to bring the twins there. We hope to spend many weekends of their lives there enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery doing some of our favorite activities like hiking and fishing and spending time with friends and family. Jeremy and I have spent many weekends there together with our dogs and it is definitely their favorite place too!

The heartbreaking part of our weekend story....Daisy took off on Sunday morning and never came back. We talked to every person, neighbor, camper and ATVer around and no one had seen her. I have never done anything more difficult than leaving a vacation spot without our beloved dog. She hasn't been herself for the past few months. She has been sleeping a lot, hardly playing, having accidents, and has even had some seizures. She seems disoriented and confused at times also. We can't imagine that she would just run off and get lost because she has been going to the cabin since she was born and knows her way around. We think (hope) that she may have taken off to find her final resting place in her favorite place on Earth. She was with us through some of the most joyful and memorable times of our lives. She partied with me and my friends in college. She was right next to us when Jeremy proposed to me. She sat next to me in the bathroom every time I had morning sickness and she was laying on me the moment I went into labor. She greeted us at the door every time we walked in. She was very special to us and will always have a part of our hearts. We will always remember her as our best and most loyal friend!

The Twins Are 3 Months!!!!

It's hard to believe that Blake and Emerson are 3 months! They are getting so big and it's amazing to see how quickly they are growing and learning. They are best buds and we often find them cuddling, holding hands or arm in arm...sooooooooo sweet! AND- they are just about sleeping through the night!!!!!!!!!!! For the past week they have made it between 6-8 hours. They are just precious and I'm counting down the days (4 more!) until school is out and I can spend the summer with them.

Happy 3 month birthday Emerson!

Happy Mother's Day!

Today was my first Mother's Day and it was just perfect! Jeremy surprised me this morning with a beautiful amethyst (the twins birthstone) and diamond ring in the babies crib. We had brunch over at John and Tina's house. It was wonderful being able to spend Mother's Day with both of our moms! Then we came home and took Blake and Emerson in the pool for the first time. Blake actually fell asleep in Jeremy's arms and Emerson seemed to like it. Fun Day!

2 Months Old!

Blake and Emerson are 2 months! Time is flying by. For their 2 month birthday, Grammy Withers made them this beautiful "cake and ice cream" out of flowers. SO cute!!! They had their 2 month appointment with the pediatrician, and all is going well. Blake is now 11 lbs. 10 oz and in the 50th percentile. Emerson weighs 9 lbs. 7 oz... the same weight I was when I was born! She is in the 10-25th percentile.
I went back to work this week. It was great to be back with my students, but very difficult leaving the babies. It certainly made things easier knowing they were at home with my parents. 4 more weeks until summer vacation!

HAPPY EASTER

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. Jeremy and I started the day by taking the kids on their first hike on South Mountain. It was a gorgeous day! Then we enjoyed a turkey feast at home with my parents. They looked so cute in their bunny outfits!!

Long Meadow Ranch

All bundled up

Cousin Ainsley

Poppy Bob and Grandpa

Daddy branding

Over the weekend we took the babies to the ranch for branding. It was fun showing them all the animals and spending time with family. Unfortunately it was cold and windy and Blake and Emerson both caught colds. We've been spending the last few days at home in pajamas and cuddling until everyone feels well again.
