August is always the busiest time of the year for me. Why? Back to school! This year I started out at a new school and in a new grade level. Lots to do, lots to learn. I spent 3 straight weeks eating, sleeping, learning, and dreaming about 5th grade. It was very tiring but very exciting. I'm loving my new class, new school, new job-share partner...new home away from home.:) As always, things really DO happen for a reason and work out for the best. Once again, Mom and Dad came to help out these first few very busy weeks. They spent night and day (literally) with Blake and Emerson much to the kiddos delight. B & E had every wish and command met instantly which is something that doesn't always happen with Mommy and Daddy. They even went to Barney Live and a Diamondbacks game. Fun! Amazingly, I was able to take a weekend (actually a little more) vacation to San Diego with my BFF, Robyn. We had cool, overcast weather but an awesome weekend eating, drinking, SLEEPING IN, riding bikes, and shopping. We're hoping to make an August trip together an annual event! Perhaps Napa in 2012??? Thanks Mom and Dad for watching the kiddos and encouraging me to take some time to relax! While August is super busy, sizzling hot, and ridiculously tiring, it is also kind of like starting fresh, a new beginning. I think of it like my "new year," and I know this will be a great one:)
